A whistler recorded on September 5th, 2009 in the Blue Mountains at a campground next to the Clearwater Lookout Tower. PMD671 recorder and Spectrum2 Receiver a little after midnight. This location is the only one I can record at with the High Pass Filter off. Bandwidth set: 100Hz to 12KHz. The nearest AC power line was 16 miles to the north.

A rather breathy sounding first whistler from April 12, 2008 recording session from 9PM the night before to well past 5AM the following morning. This is my preferred time of day to record. The 1Khz high pass filter is on and the output was set for 12KHz low pass. Equipment used: PMD671 and Spectrum1 receiver with Storm Chaser parked in a Wheat Field in the Horse Heaven Hills.

Wow this one goes back to October 15, 1999 and is also chorus with a diffuse whistler. This would be using the CTR117 recorder and the Explorer MK1 receiver on Dennis Road above home making a run of 8 years of chorus.
