LIGO Gravitational Wave detection

(what we
were receiving during that event)

In 12 February  2016 LIGO made the announcement of the first detection of gravitational wave.

Original pdf paper can be downloaded from here.

Our network at those time was active for OPERA project. This web page simply shows what our Observatory Network was receiving during the
the gravitational wave passing. The findings are reported following geographical Italian profile from North to South. These same data (with others various receptions from 13.09.2015 to 09.15.2015)  were supplied to Dr. J. R. Palamos and Dr. Robert Schofield of LIGO, we thank you for the confidence recognized to our monitoring network.

Left map shows the weather conditions between 20 minutes before and 40 minutes after the gravitational event,
graphs on the right shows the gravitational event in the way detected by LIGO

Here following our receptions.
